Info in Movie News | Wednesday Addams is back at Nevermore Academy, and no, she’s not thrilled about it. According to The Guardian, Season 2 opens with a flash of chaos. After saving Nevermore from the undead pilgrim Joseph Crackstone in Season 1, Wednesday has earned a cult-like following among her peers. However, the goth queen of gloom is rather unimpressed. However, the goth queen of gloom is not satisfied. “I liked it better when I was feared and hated,” she grumbles, while her peers gather around her, begging for autographs. But there’s no time for admiration, or personal space. Within minutes of the first episode, we’re introduced to a fresh villain, the Kansas City Scalper. Teen Titans Not Joining the DCU Soon, Focus Remains on Core Heroes

Info in Movie News | Superman’s new victory has fueled a resurgence of enthusiasm for the future of the DC Universe (DCU). As the fanbase is engaged in stoking up euphoria about who the new DCU lineup would be, they are equally puzzled as to whether the team of teenage superheroes, the Teen Titans will be the one to go on the big screen. Today though that goal might be put on hold.

According to Collider, James Gunn recently responded to a fan on Threads who expressed interest in auditioning for the role of Beast Boy. Gunn didn’t mince words, he confirmed that they’re not casting anyone for the character at the moment. This isn’t the first time the director has dismissed rumors surrounding a potential Teen Titans project, he previously addressed similar speculation, making it clear that no auditions were planned for the near future.

Still, that doesn’t mean the Titans have been entirely shelved. Back in February, Variety reported that a Teen Titans live-action movie is indeed in the works. The script is currently being written by Ana Nogueira, who’s also behind Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. Furthermore, Pam Abdy and Mike De Luca of Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group have hinted that they are working on a Titans project, however, no such project has been declared publicly.

Teen Titans are a band of youthful superpersons that typically consist of Robin (or Nightwing), Beast Boy, Raven, Starfire, and Cyborg. The team initially grabbed the attention of comic book fans, but their main fan base developed over the years due to their animated shows. The early 2000s Teen Titans series introduced a generation to these characters with a darker, action-packed tone. Teen Titans Go! Subsequently backtracked on the comic tone that was more appealing to younger viewers but still has the energy of a hit children’s show.

Speaking of live-action, Titans (2018–2023) certainly gave the followers of the team a rougher version of it. The show reunited Brenton Thwaites in the role of Dick Grayson, Teagan Croft as Raven, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy, and Anna Diop as Starfire. On the other hand, Cyborg was still exploring his path, thus he was present in Doom Patrol that Joivan Wade played and in the Justice League movie with Ray Fisher as the character.

Though the fanbase has been laughing with glee and the team has been featured in different adaptations, Gunn’s first DCU timeline called Gods and Monsters still doesn’t have the Titans in it. The unveiled plan at the beginning of this year didn’t provide any clue about the team’s presence. But, of course, things could go in a different direction if the current line-up turns out to be winning at the box office and critics agree.

In the moment, it appears that DC Studios is intent on fixing the base with the most significant individuals such as Superman, Supergirl, and Batman. Should that be the case, there will be a better chance for more obscure teams like the Teen Titans to be in the picture later on.

At the very least, fans can re-watch the Titans series on HBO Max and be on the lookout for official updates. The part of the young heroes in the future is not yet decided, but definitely, it won’t be in the immediately available DCU rollout.
