Info in Movie News | Wednesday Addams is back at Nevermore Academy, and no, she’s not thrilled about it. With new enemies lurking, a stalker sending cryptic threats, and her name now plastered all over campus like some reluctant rockstar, Wednesday’s sophomore year is shaping up to be even stranger than the last. According to The Guardian, Season 2 opens with a flash of chaos. After saving Nevermore from the undead pilgrim Joseph Crackstone in Season 1, Wednesday has earned a cult-like following among her peers. However, the goth queen of gloom is rather unimpressed. However, the goth queen of gloom is not satisfied. “I liked it better when I was feared and hated,” she grumbles, while her peers gather around her, begging for autographs. But there’s no time for admiration, or personal space. Within minutes of the first episode, we’re introduced to a fresh villain, the Kansas City Scalper. He’s a doll-collecting, serial-killing dog groomer in a velour tracksuit played with greasy ...

Thunderbolts Surprise Screening Unites MCU Stars Before Avengers Doomsday

Thunderbolts Surprise Screening Unites MCU Stars Before Avengers Doomsday

Info in Movie News | It’s not every day that you catch some of the biggest Marvel actors casually heading to the movies together like it’s a regular Friday night hangout. But that’s exactly what happened when Simu Liu and a crew of Marvel veterans rolled up for a surprise screening of Thunderbolts, the latest installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe currently playing in theaters.

Simu was not by himself. He was accompanied by Winston Duke, Paul Rudd, Channing Tatum, Anthony Mackie, and Chris Hemsworth, who were looking just as powerful. And who was that quietly sitting in the back? None other than Robert Downey Jr. Not exactly Tony Stark this time, his look sparked new buzz around those persistent Doctor Doom rumors.

According to Collider, this wasn’t just a casual hangout. Jake Schreier, the director of Thunderbolts, confirmed that the movie’s post-credit scene was actually shot during production for Avengers: Doomsday. So it’s safe to say this movie isn’t just an antihero team-up, it’s also a clear bridge to Marvel’s next major event.

Thunderbolts is about the team of antagonistic characters working together for the first time. Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ Valentina built the team including Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), U.S. Agent (Wyatt Russell), Red Guardian (David Harbour), Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), and Bob (Lewis Pullman). They have no option rather than to unite to confront the danger that they couldn't think of being any closer to them.

The movie is already earning praise from Marvel veterans. Robert Downey Jr. posted on Instagram, “Dinner and a movie with the old Avengers. So cool, fresh and deep. Huge congrats.” Hemsworth added, “Watched Thunderbolts last night with the Avengers family and was blown away. Film's amazing. In theaters now, don’t miss it.”

This moment also teases what's ahead. Avengers: Doomsday, which is to come to screens on May 1, 2026, is the one Marvel wants its audience to pray for as much success, if not more, than the previous mega crossovers in the series. The movie will remain the Spartans of the cinematic world since it is expected to have Anthony and Joe Russo for the second time as its directors and Doctor Doom as its antagonist, who, being the multiverse’s troublemaker, will bring heroes from each universe to join forces. That being an intriguing conflict, heroes from all corners of the MCU, Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four, and even more, will join together to defeat Doctor Doom.

The cast is massive. Alongside those already mentioned, Doomsday will feature Vanessa Kirby, Letitia Wright, Kelsey Grammer, Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, and many others.

So if you’re on the fence about Thunderbolts, now’s the time to jump in. Not only is it packed with action and character moments, it might just hold the key to the next chapter of the MCU, and you don’t want to be the one asking what you missed when Doomsday drops.
