After saving Nevermore from the undead pilgrim Joseph Crackstone in Season 1, Wednesday has earned a cult-like following among her peers. However, the goth queen of gloom is rather unimpressed. However, the goth queen of gloom is not satisfied. “I liked it better when I was feared and hated,” she grumbles, while her peers gather around her, begging for autographs. Lee Je Hoon and Yoo Hae Jin Clash Over Soju in 90s-Set "Big Deal" Movie

Lee Je Hoon and Yoo Hae Jin Clash Over Soju in 90s-Set Big Deal Movie

Info in Movie News | What happens when the ambition of a person mixes with long-standing tradition during the period of time when Korea had its most challenging economic situation? This is the essence of Big Deal, a new movie that has Lee Je Hoon and Yoo Hae Jin in its main cast. The movie sets the 1997 financial crisis as the stage for a story about the cut-throat competition for a soju firm of people who were in love with that company, tradition, and with emotions being a common factor.

According to Soompi, the movie centers on Gukbo Soju, a cherished local brand teetering on the edge of collapse. Yoo Hae Jin plays Pyo Jong Rok, the company’s devoted CFO who sees his workplace more like family. Enter Lee Je Hoon as Choi In Bum, a sharp, profit-focused analyst from a global investment firm aiming to take over the struggling business.

What sets Big Deal apart isn't just the financial tension, it’s the cultural clash. Jong Rok values loyalty, legacy, and post-work soju nights, while In Bum plays strictly by the numbers. Their dynamic feels like old school vs. new school, with a shot of national pride.

The first poster teases the intensity between the two leads, and new stills offer a glimpse into their personalities. Jong Rok, warm and neighborly, is seen grinning with a soju glass in hand. In Bum looks more calculated, though a bit out of place, especially when he's pictured awkwardly holding bottles of soju.

Yoo Hae Jin describes his character as someone who speaks his mind and holds fast to what he believes in. Lee Je Hoon says In Bum knows what he wants, but often feels conflicted, especially as he starts bonding with Jong Rok, and maybe even enjoying the soju culture he once dismissed.

Blending humor, history, and heartfelt drama, Big Deal hits Korean theaters on June 3. Whether you're here for the business plot or just want to see Lee Je Hoon drink soju for the first time, it’s one to watch.
