Info in Movie News | Wednesday Addams is back at Nevermore Academy, and no, she’s not thrilled about it. With new enemies lurking, a stalker sending cryptic threats, and her name now plastered all over campus like some reluctant rockstar, Wednesday’s sophomore year is shaping up to be even stranger than the last. According to The Guardian, Season 2 opens with a flash of chaos. After saving Nevermore from the undead pilgrim Joseph Crackstone in Season 1, Wednesday has earned a cult-like following among her peers. However, the goth queen of gloom is rather unimpressed. However, the goth queen of gloom is not satisfied. “I liked it better when I was feared and hated,” she grumbles, while her peers gather around her, begging for autographs. But there’s no time for admiration, or personal space. Within minutes of the first episode, we’re introduced to a fresh villain, the Kansas City Scalper. He’s a doll-collecting, serial-killing dog groomer in a velour tracksuit played with greasy ...

Zach Cregger’s Weapons Drops Creepy Teaser, Connects to Resident Evil

Info in Movie News | Zach Cregger, the mind behind 2022’s surprise horror hit Barbarian, is back to terrify audiences once again. His upcoming movie Weapons is officially set to hit theaters on August 8, 2025, and the first teaser image has just been released, a shadowy photo showing a red-lit alarm clock reading 2:17 AM. The haunting caption from New Line Cinema reads, “And they never came back.”

According to Collider, that exact time marks a chilling event in the movie’s story. In a small town, every child suddenly wakes up at 2:17 AM, walks outside, and mysteriously disappears. The movie follows multiple interconnected storylines that explore supernatural horror, police corruption, religious abuse, and deep-rooted generational trauma, a signature of Cregger’s layered storytelling.

Weapons features a far more star-studded cast than Barbarian. Julia Garner leads as an elementary school teacher who becomes central to the mystery when ghostly visions of the missing children start appearing to her. Josh Brolin, who stepped in after Pedro Pascal exited the project, praised the script and joined after encouragement from his daughter — a huge fan of Barbarian. The ensemble also includes Alden Ehrenreich, Benedict Wong, Amy Madigan, Austin Abrams, and Cary Christopher.

But Cregger’s horror ambitions don’t stop there. Earlier this year, he went viral after being announced as the director of a new Resident Evil movie. The reboot is being developed with PlayStation Productions and promises to return to the eerie, survival horror roots of the original 1996 game. Cregger will co-write the screenplay with John Wick writer Shay Hatten. Austin Abrams, who also stars in Weapons, is confirmed to appear in this adaptation, which is scheduled for release on September 18, 2026.

If Weapons is anything like Barbarian, fans should brace themselves, this could be another genre-defining horror hit.
