With Jackie Chan, SEVENTEEN's Jun Staring movie The Shadow's Edge



 

Infoinmovie | Jun SEVENTEEN will be going back to the big screen once again soon with the cast of the new Chinese film, The Shadow's Edge, which also stars the great Jackie Chan and Tony Leung Ka Fai.

Singer and actor Wen Junhui will play a member of the Hu Feng gang (by way of Pledis Entertainment via Korea Herald). He joins as today's crime thriller poster for the film.

The Shadow’s Edge tracks a police investigation to take down a notorious crime syndicate. Jackie Chan plays an experienced detective and Tony Leung Ka Fai plays Hu Feng’s adoptive father, the film’s villain. The film, which will also star Zhang Zifeng, Ci Sha and Zhou Zhengjie, is directed by Larry Yang.

A member of SEVENTEEN since its 2015 debut, Jun, who was born in Shenzhen, Guangdong, had initially worked as a child actor in China, performing in numerous TV series and movies.

On the big screen, he won the Silver Award for Best New Actor at the Hong Kong Film Directors' Guild Awards for his role in The Pye-Dog (2007), which he co-starred with Hong Kong singer Eason Chan.

In this film, Jun played a child struggling with trauma and learning difficulties, becoming the first Chinese child actor to win Best New Performer at the Hong Kong Film Awards in 2008.

He also portrayed a young Ip Man in the Hong Kong movie The Legend Is Born: Ip Man (2010), which recounts the life of the legendary martial arts practitioner.

Notably, most recently, Jun took home the Popularity Award at Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards this year, during Busan International Film Festival 2023 for his performance in the romantic series, Exclusive Fairy Tale (2023).

In the meantime, the boyband SEVENTEEN on their fourth world tour, titled Right Here; Jun is not participating however as diamond dustman in China. The Shadow’s Edge is scheduled for release in late 2025.
