Info in Movie News | Wednesday Addams is back at Nevermore Academy, and no, she’s not thrilled about it. With new enemies lurking, a stalker sending cryptic threats, and her name now plastered all over campus like some reluctant rockstar, Wednesday’s sophomore year is shaping up to be even stranger than the last. According to The Guardian, Season 2 opens with a flash of chaos. After saving Nevermore from the undead pilgrim Joseph Crackstone in Season 1, Wednesday has earned a cult-like following among her peers. However, the goth queen of gloom is rather unimpressed. However, the goth queen of gloom is not satisfied. “I liked it better when I was feared and hated,” she grumbles, while her peers gather around her, begging for autographs. But there’s no time for admiration, or personal space. Within minutes of the first episode, we’re introduced to a fresh villain, the Kansas City Scalper. Squid Game 2: A New Record in Netflix Viewership

Infoinmovie | The second season of Squid Game, which premiered on December 26, 2024, has been in the top three most-watched series on Netflix, with a total of 152.5 million views. It joined Squid Game season 1 (2021) and (so far) Netflix original series Wednesday (2022) as the only TV series not to lose to the well-worn crime/fantasy/family/gun genre.

On Tuesday (Jan. 14), Squid Game, first season — 265 million views was, according to Variety, still the most-watched series on Netflix. Close behind was Wednesday, which ranked second with 252 million viewers.

Squid Game season 2 is off to a flying start, with viewership numbers spiking after launch. It drew 68 million viewers in its first four days — the most for a Netflix premiere. In just 11 days, though, this number soared to 126.2 million, a benchmark the world of Netflix series launch history has never seen.

With Lee Jung-jae in the lead role, the show has consistently ranked among the top viewed in countries. Squid Game 2, in particular, has the distinction of being the most-watched series over three weeks in a row.

This success has spurred interest in the original Squid Game series, which remains one of the top three most-watched series of the week.

Interest in the series has grown, driven by chatter on social media. In fact, in light of the response to Squid Game, Netflix has confirmed that a third season will be hitting screens in 2025, and anticipation could hardly be higher.

The massively successful successor to the smash landmark Squid Game (2021) - "Squid Game 2" includes many deadly game rounds that entice hundreds to join once again.

Lee Jung-jae returns as Seung Gi-hun, the lone survivor of Season 1. Familiar supporting characters also return, including Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) and The Recruiter (Gong Yoo).

New cast members in season two include Park Gyu-young, Choi Seung-hyun (T.O.P), Lee Jin-wook, Jo Yuri, Won Ji-an, and Kang Ae-sim. There will also be Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, and Park Sung-ho.
