Glass Heart Netflix Series Brings Music and Drama in July 2025 Release

Info in Movie News | Netflix will give viewers a chance to enjoy a new Japanese series titled Glass Heart, a drama that will set to premiere worldwide in July 2025. The story comes from Mio Wakagi’s bestseller novel, and the show focuses on music, feelings, and kids’ dreams thus making it a must see for anyone who enjoys those heartwarming stories.

The story of Glass Heart is about a girl; Akane Saijo, a college student and a committed drummer who experiences an instant turn in her life when she is removed from the band. Just at the moment she begins to question her place in music, meeting with Naoki Fujitani, her friend, and a talented man, a chance gives a new horizon to her outlook on the music world. He sees Akane as the right one and gives her the opportunity to carry out his new ensemble, in this way, leading to her growth in the conflict-ridden and melody-rich journey.

Newcomer Yu Miyazaki steps into the role of Akane, bringing raw energy and authenticity to the character. She earned the part through an open audition, and early buzz suggests she could be one of the breakout stars of the year. Opposite her is Takeru Satoh, a well-known actor recognized for his work in First Love and An Incurable Case of Love. In Glass Heart, Satoh not only plays the lead male role of Naoki Fujitani but also serves as the series’ co-executive producer, showing his commitment to the story both on and off screen.

The actors who play other characters are as follows: Keita Machida who as Sho Takaoka plays a role of the dedicated guitarist, Jun Shison, who is an introspective pianist Kazushi Sakamoto, Masaki Suda in the role of the charismatic frontman of a rival band -Toya Shinzaki. The actors' energy and music will sum up the drama's emotional levels.

What sets Glass Heart apart is its commitment to realism. All main actors received intensive training to play their instruments live during filming. Music scenes were shot on a massive scale, with tens of thousands of extras used to recreate authentic concert vibes. This focus on the smallest elements that occur in the plot will make the fans of music dramas feel that they are part of the story and more involved.

Kensaku Kakimoto (Parasite in Love) and Kotaro Goto (The Naked Director) are directors of the series, both with the reputation for their excellent visual storytelling. The script is prepared by Mari Okada, the author of Anohana and The Anthem of the Heart, who was also well assisted by Tomoko Akutsu, Shiho Kosaka, and Anna Kawahara. Production is handled by the studio ROBOT, with Go Abe as producer and Hirofumi Sakurai as line producer.

Glass Heart is more than just another music series. It is a truly human story that deals with the idea of getting a fresh start, being aware of your failures, and finding your passion. The series, enshrouded with emotional highs and lows that are supported by remarkable songs and truly heartfelt performances, is expected to be remembered for a long time.

Don't forget, on July 2025 Glass Heart makes the initial release on Netflix and naturally brings the audience to a place where music and courage together create a new world.
