Info in Movie News | Wednesday Addams is back at Nevermore Academy, and no, she’s not thrilled about it. With new enemies lurking, a stalker sending cryptic threats, and her name now plastered all over campus like some reluctant rockstar, Wednesday’s sophomore year is shaping up to be even stranger than the last. According to The Guardian, Season 2 opens with a flash of chaos. After saving Nevermore from the undead pilgrim Joseph Crackstone in Season 1, Wednesday has earned a cult-like following among her peers. However, the goth queen of gloom is rather unimpressed. However, the goth queen of gloom is not satisfied. “I liked it better when I was feared and hated,” she grumbles, while her peers gather around her, begging for autographs. But there’s no time for admiration, or personal space. Within minutes of the first episode, we’re introduced to a fresh villain, the Kansas City Scalper. Warfare Earns Praise as A24 Teases More Bold Films for 2025

Info in Movie News | War movies are the kind of thing that most of us are not into, but Warfare might be an exception. A movie directed by Alex Garland, a person with Iraq War experience, Ray Mendoza, is an example of an inordinate, entirely not elaborated combat movie that also has been mostly a stupendous success among critics and the wider public. The film is brutal, straightforward, and is kicking ass, no doubt.

According to Collider, critic Aidan Kelley called it “one of the best films of 2025,” and highlighted its powerful tribute to U.S. veterans. The film currently sits at a stellar 93% on Rotten Tomatoes, matching audience and critic scores, and even earned an A- on CinemaScore, the highest of Garland’s career so far. Not bad for a film that skips the typical hero arc and instead focuses on two groups of soldiers navigating a brutal firefight in Iraq.

Leading the cast is D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai as Mendoza, joined by a strong ensemble that includes Charles Melton, Joseph Quinn, Will Poulter, Kit Connor, Michael Gandolfini, and Noah Centineo. With no single protagonist, Warfare builds tension through shifting perspectives, realism, and grounded storytelling.

A24 Has More Coming

Following the triumphant box office result of Warfare and the previous year’s Civil War, A24 is showing that it is open to the release of movies from the research and development department in the years ahead.

First up, there's Sing Sing, starring Colman Domingo in a drama set inside a prison theater program, already earning early awards chatter. Then there’s The Front Room, a psychological horror film from Max and Sam Eggers (yes, Robert Eggers’ brothers), and Tuesday, a surreal emotional ride starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus that’s expected to push genre boundaries.

The success of Warfare speaks volumes of A24’s increased investment in fresh, director-driven projects, which has been accepted by the public.

If you’re a fan of brutal or realistic war movies and small, offbeat films, then right now might be the right time to follow A24.
