Pump Up the Healthy Love: KBS’s New Rom-Com Premiering April 30, 2025

Info in Movie News | One of the most anticipated romantic comedies, “Pump Up the Healthy Love”, is set to fill the screens in a production of KBS. On its debut on April 30, 2025, the drama tells us an inspirational story of a self-improvement journey covered with a fresh romantic comedy.

As reported by Soompi, the story is about Do Hyun-joong (played by Lee Jun-young), the gym owner who is tough and always full of dedication, helping his members to lead a healthier life. In the meantime, his life changes when he comes across Lee Mi-ran (performed by Jeong Eun-ji), the girl who has just heartbroken and decides to join the gym to make a change in her life.

Instead of only dealing with physical fitness, the drama is also an exploration of Mi-ran’s emotional journey in the quest for self-esteem. Add to that the myriad of challenges she is tasked with at this point, now she can take stock and do the introspection that she needs to commit to herself.

“Pump Up the Healthy Love” gives us lots of relatable comedy moments. From the excited face Mi-ran makes in seeing food, to her struggle with dumbbell lifting is funny as well as her peeved reaction in regard to eating the healthy food all of it happens in a way that is very natural and delightful.

Jeong Eun-ji went as far as to put on weight in order to bring the character Mi-ran to life realistically. The production team, in lauding the dedication of the actress, explained that the audience would anticipate the unique and colorful character of Mi-ran.

A light yet meaningful story, Jeong-Eun-Ji and Lee Jun-young’s chemistry, and the touch of the refreshing comedy in the middle of the show will be the reasons why “Pump Up the Healthy Love” will be this year’s must-see show. It is going to be a happy ride starting from April 30, 2025, every Wednesday and Thursday at 21:50 KST only at KBS!
