The Potato Lab: A Blend of Science and Romance in Netflix’s Newest K-Drama

Info in Movie News | Netflix boosts its category of Korean drama by launching a new series titled "The Potato Lab" which is a romantic comedy set in the potato research institute. The series, which other than love scenes touches science and even sometimes business and how they stand each other in the name of research, does not fail to entertain as most people nowadays watch it for.  

The abstract of the potential installment: Kim Mi-Kyeong(Lee Sun Bin), a top-notch plant breeder, is that who excels in the no-generating mission of her life which is devoted to the study of a new type of plant while his way down the life path is the road of success and fulfillment that he is able to travel riding a strong Taurus bearing his company's logo.

The Potato Lab is about the story of Kim Mi-Kyeong (Lee Sun Bin) a high researcher who 24/7 is focussed in the research on potatoes with great enjoyment, and never noticed what goes on around her. Nonetheless, things for her get topsy-turvy when So Baek-Ho (Kang Tae Oh), a stern and no-nonsense official, swoops down on her.

As Baek-Ho arrives at the facility to effect the necessary changes, he adopts a callous, productivity-first business mentality. This, certainly, leads to frequent wrangling between him and Mi-Kyeong-gummo, who gets caught up on a scientific query rather than if the drug is going to be sold.

Another important aspect of Streaming Platform’s developing the plot include;- The Potato Lab also presents the first official clip of the show where you will notice the first successful interaction between Mi-Kyeong and Baek-Ho.  The 38-second clip is about their conflicting work styles as Mi-Kyeong is passionate about science, and Baek-Ho prioritizes efficiency.

Their conflict, however, gives rise to a fascinating encounter. With time, Baek-Ho comes to the realization of Mi-Kyeong's passion, while Mi-Kyeong starts feeling the other side of Baek-Ho, that he is actually a warm person.

Starring Talented Actors Directed by Experienced Director

According to Soompi, Apart from Lee Sun Bin and Kang Tae Oh, The Potato Lab has an impressive cast of Lee Hak-Joo, Kim Ga-Eun, Shin Hyun-Seung, and Jung Sin-Hye. All the characters have their own color in the story, which deepens the emotional drama tension.

Seeing that Kim Seong-Yoon is not really responsible for the screenplay and the scriptwriter's task is done by director Kim Seong-Yoon himself the affectionate storytelling aspect of the drama is explicit. The story is basically the same but the tempo of the show will be faster. It was a fun experience for people working at a company.

The Potato Lab is set in a lab where agrarian research is being conducted, and it has a sweet and green part. The theme's key reason is love. Scientists are human beings and they are submitted to so many other issues apart from science. In fact, they have to deal with business and external issues too.
