Info in Movie | Delving deeper into the world of acting, singer and member of Korean girl group BLACKPINK, Jisoo and Park Jung Min are set to star in the Korean drama, Newtopia.

Reported by Pinkvilla on Sunday (26/1), as the much-anticipated release approaches, a new teaser has been unveiled, which further intrigues and excites.


The footage features exhilarating action, tracking Jae Yoon, a soldier who is very far from fulfilling his duty.

Then there is Young Joo, who is feeling lonely after her boyfriend’s enlistment in the military, who also has to contend with a sudden outbreak of zombies.

The teaser includes the line, “I will survive whatever happens and will run toward you,” which hints at their determination to find one another.

Jae Yoon is shown slaughtering zombies with a shopping cart, and Young Joo fearlessly charges into the horde with an electric scooter.

The new poster shows the otherworldly scene as Jae Yoon and Young Joo come up against the horde of zombies in Seoul.

The message is driven home as Young Joo clutches a blood-soaked chainsaw and Jae Yoon holds a lighter and spray can.

The plot is based on the novel ‘Influenza’ by Han Sang Woon, and follows Jaeyoon, a soldier, and his girlfriend, Youngjoo, who after a break up must battle a horde of zombies in a Seoul high-rise building.

While Jaeyoon progresses from a spineless man to great leader, Youngjoo grows more rigid in the fight for their lives.

Written by Ji Ho Jin and Han Jin Won and directed by Yoon Sung Hyun, the drama is set to debut on Feb. 7, 2025.
