Info in Movie News | Wednesday Addams is back at Nevermore Academy, and no, she’s not thrilled about it. According to The Guardian, Season 2 opens with a flash of chaos. After saving Nevermore from the undead pilgrim Joseph Crackstone in Season 1, Wednesday has earned a cult-like following among her peers. However, the goth queen of gloom is rather unimpressed. However, the goth queen of gloom is not satisfied. “I liked it better when I was feared and hated,” she grumbles, while her peers gather around her, begging for autographs. But there’s no time for admiration, or personal space. Within minutes of the first episode, we’re introduced to a fresh villain, the Kansas City Scalper. The Hunt for Gollum: Andy Serkis Returns as Director and Main Star

Info in Movie news | Middle-earth is once more connecting with its most ardent enthusiasts as the biggest narrative about one of the characters of the franchise unravels. The news is finally out; Warner Bros. has decided that the new title of the movie will be "The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum", and the premiere date is scheduled for December 17, 2027. A surprise that came like a bolt from the blue is the fact that after Andy Serkis appeared as the bipolar Gollum once again, he would also assume the position of the director of this new movie.

According to Collider, the new movie is greenlit to roll with some invaluable input from Peter Jackson, as well as his usual partners, Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens. Although nothing has been revealed about the plot, the movie is assumed to be a deep dive into the hitherto unexplained time between The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies and The Fellowship of the Ring. So, it is a prequel never seen before that tells the story of Gollum, his love of the One Ring, and the enemies that he is afraid of, with much detail and emotion.

Serkis, known for his groundbreaking motion-capture performance, expressed genuine excitement about expanding Gollum’s story. “Much of Smeagol’s life remains unexplored,” had said he. “He is not only a creepy creature standing in the dark, but a profoundly tragic character of whom we have explored only the outermost layer.”

The cast of the new movie series has not been announced but a number of the actors from the previous movies have thrown hints that they may be interested. John Rhys-Davies who took on the character of the dwarf warrior Gimli seemed reluctant to return in an earlier interview mainly due to the elaborate makeup and masks involved in the role. Even though, in a recent interview with ScreenRant at Fan Expo Philadelphia, he seemed much more open about the idea. When being asked the same question, he said, “If I’m asked to serve, I will consider it and probably say yes” after the interviewer informed him that advances in technology could decrease his preparation time from three hours to just one.

Liv Tyler, who was the Arwen actress in the original trilogy, has made a declaration of her interest in the enterprising project. “I’d do anything to return,” she told Collider. “I still write to Fran and Philippa, just asking if there’s ever a chance Arwen could come back. It was such a profound experience.”

The involvement of characters such as Aragorn or Legolas is not confirmed, but the timeline of the story itself could let them join, especially when we consider that Aragorn was in fact pursuing Gollum before the events of The Fellowship. Last year, Orlando Bloom personally mentioned that he would not mind coming back to the cast if the opportunity arose.

As of now, production has yet to begin, but the team behind The Hunt for Gollum is clearly setting the stage for a meaningful new chapter in the Tolkien cinematic universe. With Serkis in charge and Jackson’s creative team backing him up, fans have reason to be hopeful. Whether or not old characters return, one thing is certain, Gollum’s story is far from over.
