Human from Today Delayed to 2026, Kim Hye Yoon and Lomon Stay Active

Human from Today Delayed to 2026, Kim Hye Yoon and Lomon Stay Active

Info in Movie News | The new SBS drama, "Human from Today", that features Kim Hye Yoon and Lomon, will not be broadcast in 2026 as it was first scheduled. The fantasy romantic comedy has been confirmed for 2026 due to a postponement. The fans might be a bit upset by the rescheduling, but it also shows that the project is working hard to get the best quality.

The news was first reported by JoyNews24 on April 10, and SBS has since confirmed it. Although the exact broadcast date has not been finalized yet, discussions are ongoing. So yes, fans will need a bit more patience before this drama hits the screen. "Human from Today" actually began as one of SBS's top shows for 2025. As a matter of fact, it was presented even at the 2024 SBS Drama Awards, along with the first teaser. Fans had been waiting for it, and naturally,  excitement was already building among fans.

The drama presents an offbeat spin to the classic gumiho story. Kim Hye Yoon plays Eun Ho, a nine-tailed fox who has absolutely no interest in becoming human. She enjoys her life as an immortal creature, keeping her distance from anything wholesome or romantic to avoid risking humanity.

That peaceful life takes a wild turn when she meets Kang Si Yeol, played by Lomon. He is a confident and outspoken soccer star who suddenly walks into Eun Ho’s world. After a strange incident, Eun Ho unexpectedly turns into a human. That is where the real chaos begins, with a romantic comedy filled with charm and unpredictable moments.

Although filming for the drama is already complete, the series is currently going through post-production. The goal is to release it sometime in the first half of 2026.

While waiting for that premiere, both Kim Hye Yoon and Lomon are busy with other exciting projects.

Kim Hye Yoon, fresh off the success of Lovely Runner, is stepping into a completely different vibe with a horror thriller film titled Salmokji. The movie is set around a real dam and promises an eerie, mystery-filled story. If everything goes as planned, this will be her first feature film since Ditto in 2022.

Meanwhile, Lomon is preparing for his return in All of Us Are Dead season two. The Netflix zombie hit has been officially renewed, and although the exact filming schedule is not public yet, production is expected to start in 2025. The new season is likely to drop in 2026, with Lomon reprising his fan-favorite role as Lee Su Hyeok.

Yes, it looks like even if Human from Today has experienced a delayed release, the two main characters are not resting on their laurels. Both Kim Hye Yoon and Lomon, with their new projects, are still the talents to watch out for.

Seems like we are having an explosion of thrilling stories and superb acts from them both in 2026. Keep watching, because there are definitely more things to happen.
