Info in Movie News | Wednesday Addams is back at Nevermore Academy, and no, she’s not thrilled about it. With new enemies lurking, a stalker sending cryptic threats, and her name now plastered all over campus like some reluctant rockstar, Wednesday’s sophomore year is shaping up to be even stranger than the last. According to The Guardian, Season 2 opens with a flash of chaos. After saving Nevermore from the undead pilgrim Joseph Crackstone in Season 1, Wednesday has earned a cult-like following among her peers. However, the goth queen of gloom is rather unimpressed. However, the goth queen of gloom is not satisfied. “I liked it better when I was feared and hated,” she grumbles, while her peers gather around her, begging for autographs. But there’s no time for admiration, or personal space. Within minutes of the first episode, we’re introduced to a fresh villain, the Kansas City Scalper. He’s a doll-collecting, serial-killing dog groomer in a velour tracksuit played with greasy ...

Florence Pugh Jumps Off World’s 2nd Tallest Building for Thunderbolts

Info in Movie News | No news for Florence Pugh dealing with roles because she has commitment, but right now she has really brought it up to the next level—figuratively, she went to the top. In the Marvel Studios' new featurette, Pugh is demonstrated as being ready to perform a dangerous stunt of jumping off the second highest building in the world for the movie upcoming Thunderbolts. No CGI, no green screen, just pure adrenaline.

According to Collider, the footage shows Pugh and the stunt team arriving in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where they gear up for a jump from Merdeka 118. Standing at 2,227 feet, it’s only second to Dubai’s Burj Khalifa. While most people would be terrified at the idea of jumping from a structure that high, Pugh couldn’t be more excited. “I love heights!” she says in the video. “I’ve been excited about this since I read the first page of the script.”

Even with her enthusiasm, the stunt wasn’t without pushback. Director Jake Schreier admits in the video, “Disney Health and Safety just said no. That’s a very reasonable thing to say.” But after extensive preparation and safety checks, the team pulled it off—and yes, Pugh actually made the jump, as shown at the end of the video.

Thunderbolts unites the antiheroes which are already familiar to MCU fans. The movie will see a reappearance of Yelena (Florence Pugh), Red Guardian (David Harbour), Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), and Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), also others. It is anticipated that the end of Phase Five being virtually the film will be a preparatory moment for the future stage of the Cinematic Universe, carrying the main action, and guess what.

Directed by Jake Schreier and written by Joanna Calo and Eric Pearson (Black Widow, Thor: Ragnarok), Thunderbolts hits theaters on May 2, 2025. Previous MCU titles are streaming now on Disney+.

If this first Thunderbolts movie lands well with audiences, especially in terms of character dynamics and action, it could pave the way for Florence Pugh’s Yelena to take on an even larger role in future MCU projects. In fact, she is well on her way to become the new Black Widow, opening up a distinct and courageous period for Natasha Romanoff, the character originally formed by Scarlett Johansson.
