"Weak Hero Class 1" is about the main character Seon who has been portrayed as a so-called 'good boy'. Seon leads a lonely life, and although he achieves good marks, he is socially isolated and bullied by his classmates. Young Ben is the main antagonist towards Seon, as the two of them belong to rival school groups. Young Ben is a student rebel who runs the school stuff and thus, opposes Seon. Young Ben and his gang are incessantly and fanatically harassing and threatening Seon, to the extent that the latter is feeling utterly hopeless and helpless.
By the way, an ex-MMA fighter, Suho saves Seon from being picked on one day. Due to the fact that his parents' separation and thus, their absence and busyness have made him rather introverted, Seon receives a very powerful and touching signal of stability and care from Suho. They will also need to handle quite a few problems besides obstructing Young Ben, whom they face increasingly criminal plans, and a suspicious debt collector, Gilsu, characterized as a schoolyard bully and a psychological torturer, who frightens students.
There are three students who become very close to each other and support one another irrevocably — Seon, Suho, and a transfer student Bumsook. The story is a metaphor for the butterfly's life cycle. They will have to go through bitter tears and proven victory as they defeat Gilsu, the gang, and make society balanced by the policy of justice.
