Synopsis:
Park Yong Ho and his family - mother and sister Chanmi - shifted from their village to a busy city after which the three of them had to start anew at different schools. Yong Ho was sent to an all-boys school, and Chanmi to an all-girls school. On his first day, Jin Soo was bullied by Ki Tae and his gang, but Yong Ho just stood by and did not help. The irony of the story is that his desk partner is Jin Soo, who is always depressed because of the bullying problems.
Yong Ho was somewhat prepared for the negative reaction when he asked the question, yet he decided not to back down. A random encounter with an old friend, Ki Tae, leads to Yong Ho getting into a boxing gym, which later becomes his new focus. Yong Ho’s boxing passion is a way he actually channels his anger internally, while also getting familiar with his new, stronger self that is ready for the challenges ahead.
At the same time, Chanmi, Yong Ho's sister, is no longer willing to tolerate her brother's protective behavior, and their mother is suffering from the customers' undesired attention at her store. Home is becoming a source of strain, and as such is Yong Ho's burden that he nevertheless carries on with his activities and even makes friends Sang Hoon and Hak Soo who also loathe Ki Tae's bullying tactics.
The climax of the story is, sadly, Ji Soo ending up in hospital after getting badly beaten by Ki Tae's gang. This tragedy leads to Yong Ho and his friends taking their stand. They defeated Ki Tae and his gang and thus achieved not only a victory but also secured their image which kept them from being bullied in the future. However, this triumph brings more powerful enemies into their lives and thus the game is on a higher level now.
He learns, as an aside in a way, that to play the hero in comic book world would require less hitting and more courage. As Yong Ho juggles his new relationships, responsibilities at home, and the complex morality surrounding the choices he makes, his battles fuse the personal and the political giving the work a more universal theme of sacrifices made for living a life.
Character Details:
- Park Yong Ho: He is a character who goes through numerous experiences. Up to now, he has been a student untouched by life's harsh realities until he discovers boxing as a way to protect himself. It happened after he was often in danger of being bullied, and his friends were likewise maltreated.
- Chanmi: The girl is studying in a girls-only high school, and it is the reason she cannot have a good relationship with her brother. However, it is not his possessiveness that causes the problem but actually his dominating behavior. She is the one disclosing the issue of the family that Yong Ho is having at school.

- Sang Hoon: A fellow student and Yong Ho’s friend, Sang Hoon is a very straightforward and blunt person about his hatred of bullies and also he plays the role of a significant aid in the fight against the gang of Ki Tae by suggesting that they start an anti-bully club as a way to initiate the scheme.
- Hak Soo: One of the incredible friends of Yong Ho and who thinks so highly of the courage and determination of Yong Ho and therefore he decides to help and eventually become a voice against the bullies. Their support is in line with their justifications.
- Hye Jin: Ki Tae's girlfriend that then gradually falls in love with Yong Ho. She is troubled between her relationships with both Ki Tae and Yong Ho.

- Minjung: a normal girl going to school, later falls in love deeply with Yong Ho when he happens to save her. Her presence is a beautiful little element that brings a love story to the plot.
- Dae Chun: a boy who is just joining the school, has an unclear past, and his martial arts skills are top-notch. The relations he had with Seong Tae before, and the success in showing both sides of the story help to deepen the narrative.
The films "Bullies": a 2018 realist tale include the students who have their common and unique problems in their friendships. The story walks around the ideas of friendship, survival, and the students' struggle, and their potentials to fight against a political oppressing situation.
