According to Otaku USA Magazine, the second season will once again follow Kana, a highly capable but jobless college graduate whose life takes a sudden and magical turn. After countless failed job interviews, Kana ends up helping a real magical girl during a chaotic monster attack. Her quick thinking and good memory got her a job that she did not expect, not from a regular company, but from Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc., an organization that hires magical girls as real professionals. In this world, battling with the supernatural is not only a vocation, but also a business.
The story line of the series is about Kana's transition from a disappointed job seeker to a magical girl with all rights. The new series Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. is different from the 'typical' magical girls in that it has a special atmosphere where the situations of the everyday life for adults are mingled with fantasy adventures and action. The idea of magical girls working 9-to-5 jobs and battling monsters as part of a business operation gives the genre a fresh, satirical twist.
The anime’s first season, which streamed on Amazon Prime globally, was produced by MOE and J.C.STAFF. The same production team is returning for the second installment. Masahiro Hiraoka, known for his CG direction on One-Punch Man Season 2, returns as director. Shingo Nagai, who previously worked on Uma Musume Pretty Derby Season 3 and Girly Air Force, continues to lead series composition and scriptwriting duties. Hidehiro Asama and Masahiro Fujii are the ones who take care of character designs, while the music will be again created by Makoto Miyazaki, who is among those whose credits are SPY × FAMILY and One-Punch Man.
Fairouz Ai is back as Kana Sakuragi and Yumiri Hanamori also returns as Hitomi Koshigaya, the hot-headed magical girl who gave Kana the idea of going into the world of professional monster-fighting. The confirmation of the second season of the series manga from its original run in Shonen Jump+ coincides. Sekka Iwata (writer) and Yu Aoki (illustrator) were responsible for the manga that started in October 2021.
