As reported by Discussing Film, the live-action How to Train Your Dragon 2 is officially slated for release on June 11, 2027. DeBlois will return as both writer and director, and is currently developing the script. The follow-up is anticipated to not only feature new characters such as Valka and Eret, but also delve into more profound themes and richer world-building than the initial part.
