Info in Movie News | Twice's Jeongyeon might soon enter the acting world as her name has been mentioned in connection with a lead role in the new movie New Recruit: The Movie. This step, if agreed upon, would be her debut as a performer in full-fledged nearly 10 years after becoming a K-pop idol.
According to Soompi, Jeongyeon has been proposed to be an army nurse officer in the new movie New Recruit: The Movie, which is the spin-off of the hit Korean drama New Recruit. The series was first aired in 2022, which style was based on the life in the South Korean military during the pandemic. Since then, the drama has aired three seasons, with the latest season releasing in April 2025.
The fundamental series is about Go Min Seok, a bright recruit played by an actor Shin Seung Ho, facing the harshness of boot camp together with other soldiers. The attraction of this drama is that it presents the military decrease absurdities combined with daily hilarious incidents in the life of the military, hence it becomes relatable and entertaining.
