After saving Nevermore from the undead pilgrim Joseph Crackstone in Season 1, Wednesday has earned a cult-like following among her peers. However, the goth queen of gloom is rather unimpressed. However, the goth queen of gloom is not satisfied. “I liked it better when I was feared and hated,” she grumbles, while her peers gather around her, begging for autographs. But there’s no time for admiration, or personal space. Within minutes of the first episode, we’re introduced to a fresh villain, the Kansas City Scalper. He’s a doll-collecting, serial-killing dog groomer in a velour tracksuit played with greasy ...

Vin Diesel Teases Riddick: Furya Return, Set to Explore Furyan Origins

Vin Diesel Teases Riddick: Furya Return, Set to Explore Furyan Origins

Info in Movie News | Vin Diesel may be known to most as Dom Toretto, the street racer with a soft spot for family, but long-time fans haven’t forgotten his darker, grittier alter ego, Riddick. And now, after years of whispers and teases, Riddick: Furya is officially on its way, with Diesel once again stepping into the iconic role. This time, though, he’s heading somewhere we’ve only heard about until now, home.

According to Collider, Diesel stirred up the fanbase this week with a cryptic post on Instagram. The actor shared an image of himself fully in character as Riddick with the simple caption, “Incoming…” That’s all it took to send fans into a frenzy in the comments. Considering the movie has been in production since last year, and with a few behind-the-scenes images already floating around, many believe a teaser or major announcement could drop any day now.

Details about the plot are still under tight wraps, but writer-director David Twohy previously offered a hint at what we can expect. He explained, “Our legion fans have demanded it for years, and now we’re finally ready to honor their call-to-action with Riddick: Furya. This new big-screen event brings us back to Riddick's home world where for the first time, now we can learn about Riddick's beginning.

For those who are new to the series, Riddick was first seen in 2000, in the movie Pitch Black, which was a sci-fi thriller that nobody expected to turn out a cult hit and made Diesel a star in action movies. Following the success, there were two sequels, The Chronicles of Riddick in 2004, which were a space opera featuring influenced dark concepts and the Riddick in 2013, which dealt with the character's survivalist roots. The third movie had a conclusion of Riddick stranded but willing to pursue Furya, his lost home. Furya is anticipated to kick off from this direction.

As we gather information up to now, Riddick: Furya will go far beyond his homecoming. Riddick is expected to find out that there are other Furyans who are alive and the protagonist is in the middle of a battle with a new enemy, the nature of whom is unclear. These survivors are not only fighting for their future, they also hold pieces of Riddick’s forgotten past. Some, as the synopsis suggests, may even possess powers similar to his, or more dangerous.

Concept art released earlier hints at an evolved look for the Furyans and a deeper dive into their world. The visuals suggest that this won’t just be another solo mission, but a reckoning with history, identity, and power. If done right, this could be the most personal and intense chapter yet in the Riddick saga.

There’s no confirmed release date, and casting details haven’t been revealed. Diesel previously starred alongside names like Katee Sackhoff, Dave Bautista, and Karl Urban, but it remains to be seen if any will return. Right now, all eyes are on what comes next, and with the hype building, Riddick: Furya may be closer than we think.

Whether you’re a die-hard fan of the franchise or a sci-fi lover craving a return to raw, gritty space survival, Riddick: Furya promises to deliver. The antihero is coming home, and it’s about time.
