Info in Movie News | Wednesday Addams is back at Nevermore Academy, and no, she’s not thrilled about it. With new enemies lurking, a stalker sending cryptic threats, and her name now plastered all over campus like some reluctant rockstar, Wednesday’s sophomore year is shaping up to be even stranger than the last. According to The Guardian, Season 2 opens with a flash of chaos. After saving Nevermore from the undead pilgrim Joseph Crackstone in Season 1, Wednesday has earned a cult-like following among her peers. However, the goth queen of gloom is rather unimpressed. However, the goth queen of gloom is not satisfied. “I liked it better when I was feared and hated,” she grumbles, while her peers gather around her, begging for autographs. 'Black Bag' Struggles at Box Office Despite Critical Acclaim

Info in Movie News | Black Bag, the latest movie thriller in the genre of espionage directed by Steven Soderbergh, indeed is news making thanks to the excellent critics”’ response. In which, in the leading roles, Cate Blanchett and Michael Fassbender shine, it has so far received an astounding 97% rating and holds the place of the highest rated one in Soderbergh's long filmography at Rotten Tomatoes. Amidst mega-budget presence like The Electric State, acted out by big names and released on Netflix, the movie as part of its ironical saga of the film business: although such a movie is a critical success, it usually falls short of a box office hit.

Referring to Collider, although the movie has won praise, Black Bag on the other hand, suffered financially at the box office. With a domestic gross of approximately $15 million and an extra $9 million international, the picture is still way short of covering the production costs, which were estimated at first to be around $50 million. Yet the movie bounces back and shows some tenacity with a solid increase over the second weekend of its run, being in the second place just after Snow White debut.

However, this is not the end of Black Bag. It seems that the movie's producers Universal Studios through the studio Focus Features (from the Universal family) have already planned a transition to premium video on demand release. Like The Northman which was not so successful in cinemas but made it on the PVOD platform and had a greater resonance, Black Bag might follow that path and become a huge success at home.

Soderbergh, who is making movies tirelessly, is constantly adding to his movie collection. Right after Presence which had been released in January and earned around $10 million, making it around a length a lot shorter than Soderbergh had been working on the subsequent movie, The Christophers. With his never-ending consistency and his limitless genre exploration, Soderbergh show us that although the challenge of box office is still going on, he is still one of the most productive and influential directors in this post-pandemic era.

Now, the movie Black Bag is here either on the big screens or you can also wait for it to be available on video on demand platforms.
