Danny and Phillips are forced to work together as they battle a brewing storm, a flood of emergency cases, and the lockdown enforced by the growing chaos. All the while their complicated, forbidden romance begins to unravel.
The other emergency room teams too must grapple with the echoes of their relationships, all while dealing with their personal and professional struggles in life-and-death situations. For these physicians, saving their patient's life is often the easier part compared with untangling their entangled lives.
Pulse serves as the brainchild of Zoe Robyn, who also assumes the roles of co-showrunner and executive producer.
Carlton Cuse additionally serves as a co-showrunner and an executive producer, while Bradley Gardner, Emma Forman, Michael Klick, and Kate Dennis also join the team as executive producers.
Pulse's unveiling comes in the wake of the ascending interest in procedural medical dramas — taking a page from Max's previous success with Noah Wyle-led The Pitt, which earned a second season renewal.
