Info in Movie News | It has finally been confirmed what many have hoped for Jisoo BLACKPINK  and Seo In Guk Team Up for New Netflix Romantic Comedy Serial Drama “Boyfriend on Demand”

On February 20, 2025, Netflix announced the news officially, wating impatiently for the star-studded drama to emerge. With a plot that promises immersion in a virtual world, the drama includes the idea of subscribing to a boyfriend. The connections forged online can become a reality.

Directed by the talented Kim Jung Sik from the hit K-dramas "Work Later, Drink Now", "Strong Girl Namsoon", and "No Gain No Love", "Boyfriend on Demand" promises an entertaining storyline to its viewers. With what we've heard from him so far, audiences can expect a wonderful mixture of humor, romance, and engaging tale-telling.

Jisoo will step into the shoes of Seo Mi Rae, a webtoon producer longing for a second shot at love in the virtual reality world. Accustomed to a life void of romance, her monotonous world turns topsy-turvy when she gets a "monthly boyfriend" device allowing her to enter the virtual world. Here she experiences a rush of dopamine as she rediscovers love with an ideally perfect man. Undoubtedly, many modern viewers will find Jisoo's character relatable.

Seo In Guk, on the other hand, will breathe life into Park Kyeong Nam, another webtoon producer who is co-worker and rival of Seo Mi Rae. Kyeong Nam, known for being one of the best in the office, is the last person Mi Rae wants to meet. Portraying a cold and selfish persona, Kyeong Nam hides an appalling secret that will add another interesting twist to the storyline. It will be interesting to see Seo In Guk play this complex role that will turn Mi Rae’s life upside down.

It was announced that the 10-episode drama series will be released worldwide by 2026 on Netflix, though an exact release date has not been confirmed yet. Until then, there’s no option now for K-Drama lovers, but to sit tight for any updates of this exciting task by its team.
