Detailed Synopsis:

The series introduces a main character Kai Jinn who is a chef at a restaurant run by Tommy Wah and is getting an assault by the gangsters from the Triad after a wrong order was sent out. When Jenny Wah, Tommy’s sister, finds the restaurant in disarray she rushes at her brother’s side. Meanwhile, Uncle Six which is a cruel Triad boss sends two corpses in a message of blood lending an iron fist to his territory.

It’s a turning point for Kai after he comes across Ying Ying who gives him a Monk's fragment (a strong mystical object) which enables him to take on the Wu Assassin mantle. When at first, he thinks it is a mere dream, his face is changing and Kai realizes the power indeed is genuine. Furthermore, Kai, who has been a distant from Uncle Six, his adoptive father, hears of Six's desire to have him in the Triad, but Kai chooses to stay out and value his liberty.

Instead of uniting, Uncle Six gives the command to his soldiers to kill Kai, but his new abilities help him in subduing the attackers. With the help of Ying Ying, Kai is finding out about his mission: to lead the Wu to defeat the five. His first subject is Uncle Six, the Wu of Fire. Kai barely comes to terms with his destiny — particularly after hurting people through visions — yet he has an inner battle of ‍‌‍‍‌emotions.
