Info in Movie News | Wednesday Addams is back at Nevermore Academy, and no, she’s not thrilled about it. With new enemies lurking, a stalker sending cryptic threats, and her name now plastered all over campus like some reluctant rockstar, Wednesday’s sophomore year is shaping up to be even stranger than the last. According to The Guardian, Season 2 opens with a flash of chaos. After saving Nevermore from the undead pilgrim Joseph Crackstone in Season 1, Wednesday has earned a cult-like following among her peers. However, the goth queen of gloom is rather unimpressed. However, the goth queen of gloom is not satisfied. “I liked it better when I was feared and hated,” she grumbles, while her peers gather around her, begging for autographs. But there’s no time for admiration, or personal space. Within minutes of the first episode, we’re introduced to a fresh villain, the Kansas City Scalper. He’s a doll-collecting, serial-killing dog groomer in a velour tracksuit played with greasy ...

Synopsis: Sabotage (2014 film)

DEA Special Agent John “Breacher” Wharton (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is introduced via a video recording in which his wife is tortured and murdered. It is this traumatic experience that acts as a trigger for this story — this leaves on the psyche dust wounds which inform Wharton's actions over the course of the flight.

It’s eight months post this event of trauma when Wharton and his elite DEA Special Operations Team (DEA SOT) raid a cartel safe house, recovering $10 million from a stash house. They blow up the rest of the cash and stash the stolen amount in the sewer to cover up their tracks. But when they come back to get the money, it is missing. Since these facts fall under the purview of Morale’s superior, Floyd Demel (Martin Donovan), an investigation ends up suspending the team for six months. The team members suspected of stealing the money, but no evidence is found, and they are later reinstated.

Character Details:

  • John "Breacher" Wharton: The DEA SOT Team Leader (Arnold Schwarzenegger) Wharton is a weary and determined agent who is haunted by the murder of his family, which stokes his single-minded quest for justice and revenge.

  • James "Monster" Murray: Portrayed by Sam Worthington, he’s a lieutenant in Wharton’s crew and Lizzy’s husband. Monster is profoundly affected by this and start to lose faith in the teams he plays in.

  • Lizzy Murray: Played by Mireille Enos, Lizzy is a DEA agent and the only woman in the team. She is shown cracking the whip but also grappling with drug use and loyalty issues within the team.

  • Joe "Grinder" Phillips: Portrayed by Joe Manganiello, Grinder is a team member who starts to become paranoid and suspicious of his co-workers throughout the plot.

  • Julius "Sugar" Edmonds: Played by Terrence Howard, Sugar is another team player whose loyalty and actions become suspect as things spiral out of control.

  • Eddie "Neck" Jordan: Portrayed by Josh Holloway, Neck is an on-team member whose brutal murder becomes a significant plot point, heightening the stakes and tension in the group.

  • Tom "Pyro" Roberts: Played by Max Martini, Pyro is another member who meets a tragic end, raising the stakes, in terms of who is targeting the team.

  • Bryce "Tripod" McNeely: Portrayed by Kevin Vance, Tripod is talented but falls victim to the growing number of murders.

  • Smoke Jennings: The initial raid that kills him sparks a series of events that ultimately leads to the team’s unraveling.

  • Caroline Brentwood: Played by Olivia Williams, an Atlanta Police Investigator who enters the case and collaborates with Wharton to uncover the murders’ actual circumstances.

  • Darius Jackson: Portrayed by Harold Perrineau, he is Brentwood's partner in the investigation.

As the story unfolds, members of Wharton’s team are killed one by one in increasingly gruesome and suspicious circumstances. Caroline Brentwood and her partner Darius Jackson begin investigating these murders, uncovering a web of lies, deceit, and betrayal within the team.

The evidence suggests that the murders were carried out by the Guatemalan Special Forces, highly trained and regarded as brutal and effective (which both adjectives are best suited in describing them). But it is soon revealed that the true criminal is quite close to home. Lizzy, the villainess of the story, finds herself behind these killings, motivated by greed and betrayal to get everything she wants. During the climax, Wharton confronts Lizzy, who confesses to having stolen the cash and murdered their teammates.

By the end scene, Wharton has come to Mexico to track down the man who killed his family. In the aftermath of some violent tussle, he shoots the guy dead, then sits with him, alone, contemplating the cost of his revenge. The movie ends with Wharton nursing a drink with his feet kicked up on the bar, finally avenged for the murder of his family, but at the cost of his own life.
