Setting: Early movie scenes depict Tokyo, Japan, where a little boy named Darc and his mother live. After the death of Darc's father, his mother becomes a prostitute and moves to the country.
Plot: Tashi, the son of the Yakuza number one boss, comes to see Darc's mother one night. He violently attacks her and Darc tries to stop him but his attempt is unsuccessful and Tashi stabs him. Darc's mother hits Tashi in order to save her son which results in the latter starting a chase. Ultimately, Tashi and his father, the Yakuza leader, catch Darc's mother and torture her to death while Darc runs away to hide.
Time Skip: Now Darc is a cold-blooded assassin in the United States who has just been released from prison after serving twenty-six years. Lafi, the detective who freed him, finds Tashi on American soil. After he also finds out that Tashi committed several crimes, Lafi understands that he needs Darc's help to apprehend him.
Revenge and Undercover: Explaining it to Darc with some reluctance, Lafi says that only by working with him can Darc have a certain kind of revenge for the killing of his father. Darc impersonates a member of Tashi's gang by initially becoming friends with Tashi's son, Shiu, and then taking the position of his bodyguard. Several times, Shiu almost figures it out, but Darc employs his cleverness and craftiness to avoid being caught out.
Climax: Darc undertakes the job of wiping out the Yakuza members in a systematic way, and finally, he confronts Tashi whom he kills in a fight when Tashi refuses to give away the place where Lafi's daughter has been kidnapped. Lisa, Darc's childhood friend, who is also Yakuza-affiliated, is being pressured to give up Darc's identity.
Final Showdown: The Yakuza king, Tashi's father, sets all the gang members in motion for the last attack on Darc. Even though the resistance is intense, Darc manages to find a way to the Yakuza's base and, in the end, he kills Tashi's father and rescues Lafi's daughter, Princess Lafi.
Conclusion: Darc manages to avenge his mother but he is so injured that he has to lie down on the floor. It is then that nurse Princess Lafi dresses his wounds and, in so doing, saves his life. The movie ends with Darc using vengeance on his mother's murderer and the Yakuza system collapses.
