Mashle Season 2 Comes to Netflix June 9, A Must-Watch for Magic Anime and Wizardess Fans

Info in movie News | If you are a huge fan of the wizarding world of Harry Potter and also happen to like the craziness of anime, then you cannot miss Mashle: Magic and Muscles. It may not be the most eye-catching name you have ever come across, but the series manages to draw tons of people in due to its funny story, great action scenes, and a main character you cannot help but love. In just a few days, June 9, Netflix will premiere Season 2, for those of you who want to catch up or start off fresh then.

According to Collider, in Mashle's universe, the whole world is magical. People use it everywhere, from food preparation to rising in the social hierarchy. However, the most unique thing about the main character is that Mash Burnedead doesn't have any magical powers. He's the one you should always bet on as he has a body like an athlete and can hit so hard as to level a castle. Instead of using sorcery, Mash rams through his magical troubles with his muscle power and resolve to win.

He joins Easton Magic Academy, a school filled with elite magic users, all while pretending to be just another student. His goal? To become a Divine Visionary, a title reserved for the top students in the magical world. It’s a ridiculous mission, but that’s the charm, Mash doesn’t care about magic rules. He rewrites them with his fists.

Mashle is based on the manga by Hajime Kōmoto and animated by A-1 Pictures, the same studio behind hits like Sword Art Online, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, and Solo Leveling. The result is a show packed with clean, high-energy animation that makes every punch and every joke land just right.

The series doesn’t only make jokes about fantasy stereotypes, it also respects and pays tribute to them. Not only will you notice direct references to Harry Potter, but also a deeper passion for classic shonen themes: grit, camaraderie, and success in the face of insurmountable odds. At the same time, however, Mashle doesn’t become a mere parody. There is real character development there and several unexpectedly emotional moments that are used to counterbalance the comedic and chaotic elements.

Mashle, which has an 87% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, is really popular among the audiences. It may not be as recognized as the giants like DanDaDan or Solo Leveling, but it’s definitely catching the eyes of the people who are anime and manga fans. The best news is that Season 3 is already announced, but there’s no information about the release date yet.

Would you like to try something new but not too alien? Perhaps, with a bit of witticism, a few tears, and action that is not hyperbolic, Mashle: Magic and Muscles could be the next anime you can't stop watching. Don't forget to save the date for June 9 on Netflix; this one will not disappoint.
