In a new partnership with Xentrix Studios Australia, Cosentino is creating Magicland, a new original animated TV series that is the mixture of the trick, the punch line, and the dream in one fascinating world for the families to be entertained.
According to Animation Magazine, the series Magicland is about Cosentino's animated character who is a sweet magician and who is riding crazy adventures with his best friend Locki, the magical lock. The two of them are crossing the fancy lands of Magicland to get rid of the bad guy, the King of Silver City, who is the main antagonist of the story and has a group of odd enforcers called: Hollow, Flex, Matchman, and The Puzzler. Each of these characters constructs themselves as a dark element with an interesting, comedic feature.
During their adventure, Cosentino and Locki form a diverse team of friends, each of them having their own unique talents which are necessary for them to get through the adventures of Magicland. No matter if it is solving riddles, avoiding tricks, or fighting with bullies, teamwork and creativity are still the most important things in their mission to bring the peace and magic back to their world.
Ken Cantrill, Head of Creative at Xentrix Studios Australia, made a very positive comment about the project: "The series is such a colorful, dynamic combination of illusion, comedy, and heroism, these are the characteristics of Cosentino himself. Magicland will be not only a visual feast but will also carry the universal message of courage, imagination, and collaboration."
Cosentino, a name synonymous with his grand illusion acts and daring escapes, considers Magicland as the further development of his storytelling. With performances in over 40 countries and being decorated with awards such as Merlin Awards for International Magician of the Year and International Escape Artist of the Year, he has been attracting live audiences for a long time. Now, through animation, he’s hoping to spark that same wonder in a new generation.
Cosentino discusses Magicland as a project of personal passion that represents his deep affection for magic and storytelling. Via animation, he uncovered the ideal outlet to unleash creativity beyond boundaries, enabling him to design a place where the magical, the logical, and the imaginative are the main elements. Mark Flynn, who was Cosentino's manager for a long time, concurred with the artist and goes on to say that the series is a clear next move for the magician. Xentrix Studios, the team behind Max & the Midknights, Big Nate, Monster High, and Stillwater, carries a strong animation fathead.
